FIRST AID COURSE

A first aid course was presented in January of this year. We had 17 employees taking the course. All passed the final test (after a lot of practice on our "unfortunate victims "). We only hope we don't have to use our newly acquired skills.

Retirement

Louis Verhagen, Quality Control Manager, retired on August 31, 1996 after 19 years of service. Louis joined the Company on May l , 1977 and was employed at Head Office until March 1, 1987 when he transferred to th e Lindbergh location. Louis plans to relax for the first few weeks of retirement. Louis will stay quite busy with his hobbies which are working with his computer systems, genealogy, and gardening. He is also looking forward to keeping busy with his community interests. He is active in the Historical Society, the Friends of the Fort, and the Canadian Legion. Louis, we wish you a Health y and Happy Retirement!

Brian Bailey, Power Engineer, is an antique car enthusiast. Brian's 1968 Parisienne was the 1st place winn er at the Glendon, Alberta car show. This car is sporting all of the original factory accessories right down to the paint. It has 28,000 miles and is in mint condition. Brian's 3 year old son, Brendan, is just as proud as dad. As you can see, he gets to hold th e trophy.

 

GAS COMPRESSOR

Lindbergh has installed a new gas compressor. This gas compressor is 135 hp and will boost the natural gas flow and pressure at the Lindbergh Plant. Capacity of the unit is1.65 MM CFD at a discharge pressure of 120 psig.

 

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulation s to some of our employees who have become new parents this past year.

Pam Semeniuk (Lab. Supervisor) and husband Roger, are the proud parents of a baby boy. Mark Scott was born on December 12, 1995 weighing 8 pounds 3½ ozs.

Dusty Powder (Safety & Security Officer) and wife Dawn-Marie are the proud parents of five sons and two daughters . Their fifth son, Tyrell, was born December 2, 1995.

Murray Dyjur (Power Engineer) and his wife Cindy, along with their three daughters are proud to announce the arr ival of a baby boy. Nathan was born March 12, 1996 weighing 8 16. 5 ozs.
